Tokenisation
Tokenisation is where a virtual token is created, in representation of a particular type of asset.
Here at Piptle Agency, we help our members to learn about what type of assets may benefit from being tokenised, and help them through the process of tokenisation.
“Which Real World Assets can be Tokenised?
With DigiShares you can tokenise any real world asset, and we have experience with projects ranging from real estate to energy projects, equity funds and artcollections. If you are in doubt about how to tokenise your assets, please feel free to contact os through the contact form at the bottom of the page.
Real Estate
One example of trading real world assets is real estate. By tokenising your real estate portfolio, you cut costly, paper-based, and time-consuming processes, and gain access to new global infrastructure of investors and secondary liquidity, just to name a few.
Energy and renewables
Another example of trading real world assets is energy and renewables. By tokenising your project, you are able to reach new investors types and decrease costs by using automated smart contracts to replace expensive paper-based processes, making tokenisation the best option for fundsraising.
Private Equity
By tokenising real world assets such as a private equity fund, you can offer investors tokens which represent the units or the shares of the fund, offering them the same guarantees as with regular shares, but with increased benefits such as enhanced liquidity and better transparency.
Tokenise Your Company Today
Piptle Agency partners with DigiShares to provide a software solution that is used throughout the issuance process but also later, for the ongoing corporate management of the tokenised shares, as well as the subsequent trading.
Once the issuance is completed, the platform maintains the share cap table and enables the issuer to whitelist new investors who are interested in buying shares. Piptle Agency helps with the initial design of the security token such that it fulfills regulatory requirements.
Piptle Agency partners with DigiShares to use the most popular security token protocols and helps ensure that the token may later be traded on forthcoming security token exchanges. Piptle Agency and Digishares are your trusted partners to ensure that your digital shares will be compliant and liquid.”
What is a DAO and how can you tokenise it?
As a provider of infrastructure and white label solutions for tokenisation, we naturally often ask ourselves how any object or asset can be tokenised and what value it will provide. DAOs are no exception.
A DAO is a Decentralized Autonomous Organization. Essentially it is a collection of smart contracts that provides a framework for managing value flows, organization, ownership, incentives, etc. for organizations and companies.
The legal framework around LLCs is a similar collection of legal rules for managing the ownership, value appreciation, distributions, etc. for limited liability companies. An LLC can be represented with a DAO and indeed (amazingly) regulation already exists for this in Wyoming, US.
So – can a DAO be tokenised? Yes, it can! And it makes very much sense to do it. A DAO also has shareholders (or token holders) and their interests have to be represented and managed, preferably with tokens.
